Storms Possible late Sunday into Early Monday (Posted 12pm 1/22/21)

We’ve been monitoring, and continue to monitor the potential for storms across the region late Sunday into early Monday. At this time it looks like a strong surface low, accompanied by a strong Pacific cold front, will push through the region, mixing with high moisture levels (dew points) in the 60s. These conditions will be favorable for all modes of severe weather as the system pushes through.

Timing for this system will be adjusted as we approach Sunday. So stay tuned for exact timing with future forecast updates. Nothing is 100% certain with this forecast at this time. However, it’s always a good idea to prepare ahead of time by reviewing your severe weather safety plan, and staying tuned in to the forecast.
