Storms possible again today across parts of NTX 3/26/18

Good morning NTX. To start we have another risk for some strong to severe storm activity today across areas from DFW and off to the west. The best chances to see activity however will renain mostly along and west of I-35 once again today, however there is a slight chance that any storm that develops west could drift eastward into the metro, so we’ll need to keep an eye on that. Areas North of and parts of the imediate NW half of the metro (DFW) from Sherman to Denton to Weatherford and west are under a slight (2/5) risk for some strong to severe storm activity this afternoon and evening. The rest of the region is under a (1/5) marginal risk for storm activity. To be clear when we say “DFW” or “The Metro” we mean our central 4 counties Dallas, Denton, Collin, and Tarrant.

The main threats with any storms would be large hail from quarter to golfball sized, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado.

We’ll keep an eye on it and let you know if anything changes with the forecast, for now enjoy the start of your week NTX.
