Hello north Texas, here’s a quick update for tomorrow’s storm chances across the area. To be clear not everyone will see severe storms tomorrow. However, most of us will receive thunderstorms and rain activity, as coverage is looking to be around 60-80% based on the latest HRRR short range models.
Latest storm timing for tonight’s storm chances, looks to be late tonight and overnight. A few storms may produce damaging winds. However, the bulk of the activity will be tomorrow and tomorrow night. You can check back with our sites for the latest, and track the activity on our websites free radar.
Tomorrow there’s a threat for several rounds of storms tomorrow into tomorrow night, all rounds will have the potential to have strong to severe activity, however, not every storm will be severe. Damaging winds, and hail are the primary hazards, as well as a low tornado threat. Localized flooding will also be a possible hazard. If you have outdoor plans tomorrow stay tuned for the latest.
What should you do to prepare? If you have outdoor plans, check back to the forecast for the latest. And make sure you have a way to receive warnings, you can follow all of our sites on @weather225dfw and stay tuned to the national weather service and NOAA weather radio. If you have outdoor plans it would be a good idea to have a plan B just in case, however DO NOT cancel your plans due to the forecast, it would just be a good idea to have a plan B just in case.
