(NOT DFW) Intense storms likely in east TX and AR

(NOT DFW) The SPC this morning has upgraded areas across portions of extreme east TX, AR, and LA to a 4/5 Moderate risk for storms this afternoon and tonight and has issued a public weather outlook. This new moderate risk covers areas we’ve been anticipating for the last couple of days would have the greatest likelihood and conditions favorable for some intense severe weather, and even called for the possibility of a severe weather outbreak across these areas. The SPC says the threats for storms across the Moderate risk zone will be large hail near baseball sized, widespread damaging winds, and a few intense tornadoes possible. If you know anyone in these areas it wouldnt hurt to go ahead and let them know that severe weather is likely and they should stay weather alert today if they are unaware of the threat.
