The winter weather advisory originally until 10am this morning has now been extended until noon for the following counties:
Collin, Dallas, Denton, Hood, Johnson, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant
Drizzle and light rain activity overnight, and this morning, combined with temperatures right around or at freezing(32 degrees) across the region will lead to some slick spots across the area, especially elevated surfaces such as bridges and over passes. Numerous accidents have occurred across the area this morning likely as a result from freezing drizzle and slick spots, so PLEASE drive cautiously this morning. Just because the road may look it has ice on it or it looks clear doesn’t mean that it is. Do NOT accelerate or break hard on icy roads! Don’t speed!
