The SPC and NWS have issued a tornado watch for parts of North TX and a large majority of Eastern TX until 6pm this evening. 
The probability of 2 or more tornadoes is at a moderate 40%. All types of severe weather will be possible so stay weather alert! And have a plan in place in the event of a warning being issued. Stay tuned for the latest. To be clear this does NOT include the immediate DFW metro. Remember a Tornado Watch means that conditions are favorable for ty development of severe weather, including tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds. While severe weather may not be imminent persons should remain alert for rapidly changing weather conditions, and listen for later statements and possible warnings.
