Storms Possible Saturday

Good afternoon North Texas. We have a new Day 4 outlook issued from the SPC, which covers a large area of our state, for the threat of strong to severe weather on Saturday (Slight Risk in Yellow in the image bellow).

What does this extended outlook mean? It simply means there are signs of a potential severe weather threat at a certain time beyond the Days 1-3 Outlook period. This is not a 100% for sure threat, we will need to continue to refine this forecast in the coming days as there’s still many uncertainties, such as system timing and speed.

So this is very brief because we’re letting you know of the threat. What can you do because of this? Just stay tuned to the forecast as we approach the weekend. And don’t worry about the weather now, we’ll update you on what we’re expecting as this forecast is fixed and refined, to give you the forecast information in a non hyped up forecast, just the details of what to expect. In the meantime because it’s spring, it’s not a bad idea to review your severe weather safety plan.
