- Widespread rain possible across the region Saturday and Sunday. Coverage is expected to be from 50-70% across most of the area, mainly east of I-35.
While most of the area will see some sort of rain, the totals wont be drought breaking as totals are expected to be less than 0.75-1″. Severe weather is not expected, a few isolated non severe thunderstorms are possible.
Another forecast to mention is the “winter weather” chances around Christmas. We’re not going to say a lot about this possible “winter weather” for now, as we are so far out from said event, and you can’t fully trust a long rang forecast 10+ days out from an event. What we can say is most models are predicting temperatures around Christmas to be roughly in the mid 30s to lower 40s for highs, and there is the POSSIBILITY (not gaurenteed) for some type of winter precipitation, however theres also a chance we stay dry, or just see a cold rain. We wont fully know what to expect until we get closer to the week of Christmas.
Enjoy the weekend!
