Tuesday December 13th was a wild weather day across north Texas, as a Tornado outbreak occurred early in the morning, into the afternoon across North Texas. As of this morning we have now a total of 16 confirmed tornadoes. The max rating from this event was EF-2, as we saw a total of 4 EF-2 tornadoes across the area, the strongest EF-2 occurred in Eastland County, with winds of 135 mph.
Per SPC Storm Reports we had a total of 9 reported injuries from storms across the area on the 13th, with 5 reported injuries in Tarrant County in the Grapevine area at the Sam’s Club located off 114.

Several images and videos were shared online of the storms across the area on the 13th, with the majority of the shared media coming from storms in Tarrant County, especially in the Grapevine area. The tornado Crossed 114, damaging the Sam’s Club, Discount Tire and several businesses in the area. The storm eventually moved toward Grapevine Mills, where damage was reported to parts of the mall as well.

The Grapevine Tornado was confirmed as an EF-1 Tornado with max winds between 100-110 MPH during its lifespan.
