Good noon hour NTX. Just a quick update, the SPC has now put a good portion of NTX under a 1/5 Marginal Risk for storms this afternoon and evening. Storms could pop up across parts of the region starting as early as 3pm and linger till about 7 or 8pm.
Storms will have the potential to produce frequent lightning gusty winds, and maybe some small to marginally severe hail.
So in a brief summary we could see storms around the region between 3-7 or 8pm this afternoon and evening, not everyone will see storm or rain activity as coverage will be around 30-40%. Some storms may be strong with frequent lightning, gusty winds, and small to marginally severe hail. This is not a big set up by any means, and I do not anticipate widespread severe weather activity. However its always a good idea, especially if you have any outdoor activities or sports to keep an eye on the sky. especially for the threat of lightning. You can track the activity on our free radar on here our website!
