4am Weather Update (7/12/2020)

Strong to damaging winds are occurring across the Metroplex this morning, as an outflow boundary has pushed through North Texas. Many of us were woken up by powerful winds across the Metroplex this morning, as winds of anywhere from 58 to 60-66mph have been reported across the area. The NWS has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Tarrant and Dallas counties because of these winds. The warning message is bellow.

FOR TARRANT AND WESTERN DALLAS COUNTIES


At 342 AM CDT, strong winds associated with dissipating
thunderstorms were located over the DFW Metroplex.


HAZARD60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACTExpect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.


Locations impacted include
Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Garland, Irving, Grand Prairie,
Carrollton, Richardson, Mansfield, Euless, Desoto, Bedford,
Grapevine, Cedar Hill, Haltom City, Keller, Coppell, Duncanville,
Hurst and Burleson.
