SPC Upgrades DFW metro to a Slight risk for storms this afternoon/evening

Happy noon hour NTX. We’ve got a quick update for you, as the SPC has upgraded the DFW area from a marginal risk to a slight risk for storms this afternoon and evening.

The highest risk with any storms that develop would be large hail, however isolated supercell development may also bring the threat for damaging winds, and possibly a tornado or two. The tornado threat is low but not zero. The severe weather threat will exist with the second round of storms that will pass through the area this afternoon and evening between 6pm-9pm. Stay weather aware this afternoon and evening. And stay tuned to weather225.com and @weather225dfw
